What is the difference between a Helper and a carer?

The main difference between a Helper and a Carer is that Helpers do not carry out any personal care or medical care.

Helper’s hourly rates are much more affordable than a traditional care worker, and customers always have the same Helper so they can build strong friendships.

How it works
How often can Helpers visit?

Many customers have their Helper visit weekly, fortnightly or even daily to provide home help and companionship.

Helpers can provide reassurance to family members by updating them on their loved one’s wellbeing following each visit.

How it works
How are Good Life Sorted Helpers selected?

At Good Life Sorted we’re very selective and accept fewer than 5% of Helper applicants. As well as being reliable and demonstrating high quality standards, Helpers must also be sociable, caring and good communicators.

All our Helpers have been fully vetted through references and enhanced DBS checks, have completed relevant training and are fully insured. We carefully match our Helpers and customers to ensure they both enjoy their time together.

What our customers say

Katya is always cheerful and happy to help, I think of her more as a friend than a helper and sometimes when I have been a bit down she always manages to cheer me up.

Lynne has become a good friend as well as an excellent helper. She has made my life much easier and I enjoy her company.

Eileen N.

David is very good indeed and he has definitely improved my wellbeing. I very much look forward to his visits and he makes our two hours together very enjoyable.
